Introduction
Here are some of my Android app settings including miscellaneous notes. See also: iOS App Settings, Windows Phone App Settings, Phone Settings, Tablet Settings, Handheld Settings.
Album (Android 2)
Problems - causes: adding even one photo in Foursquare app (with or without setting "Save Photos to Device") will make thumbnails in Album app out of sync, so that the Album app will not show the thumbnails immediately anymore (3/2013).
Problems - solving: if the thumbnails are out of sync, i.e. wrong thumbnail for a picture, remove all .thumbdata(n)-(n) files and (n).jpg files in DCIM/.thumbnails directory and restart phone (3/2013).

Since about 8/2013 with Sony Tipo I haven't been able to automatically sign in to Google with Browser, so try visiting www.google.com/ncr and then sign in.

Bluetooth: send a document to a Mac computer
Open a document in ColorNote, "Send", "Bluetooth", "Choose Bluetooth device". The "Choose Bluetooth device" list might be empty first, so switch to another app and switch back to ColorNote.
Contacts (Android 2)
Comment: if you only want some Gmail contacts to appear on your Android phone Contacts app with the sync functionality, on Gmail Contacts page add only those people/businesses to the Contacts label. 1/2013.

Uninstall Updates or Disable
Updated version may cause serious problems on Samsung A3 (Flipboard 4.0, 2/2017).
This app can not be removed from Samsung A3, but you can disable every possible setting and then remove any updates for this app (Settings, Application Manager, Flipboard, "three dots" menu, "Uninstall updates").
It might be better not to sign out from Flipboard, so your disabled settings will stick.

Only posting to Google Plus seems to work (share with close friends only).
Do not use the default "Picasa" option to upload/share photos, because it will not work.
Do not use the "Gmail" icon, because you are probably sending too much of data (10 MB per email might be the limit).
Do not use the "Drive" icon, because your device might actually try to email the images instead of using Drive.
Make available offline
Select all albums for offline availability, because otherwise you need to be online all the time (impossible) and you to have have Google-Photos synced all the time in Accounts sync settings to see your Google account photos in Gallery.

Problem: out of storage
My Sony Tipo ran out of storage memory when I tried downloading my iTunes music from my Google account. (12/2013)
Storage memory: /mnt/sdcard/Android/data/com.google.android.music = 1.67 GB (12/2013)
"Settings: Storage" and "Settings: Apps" will not show me what is using so much storage memory. I used File Manager by Rhythm Software to find out the culprit.
Problem: stops streaming music
My Sony Tipo stops streaming music. Solution that seems to work: clear cache. (1/2014)

Press the App Drawer icon (circle with 6 dots inside of it, or square with 16 smaller squares inside of it). The App Drawer icon is the middle button on the Apps Dock, which is at the bottom of the dashboard. Look for a gray icon with text "Google Settings".

If the location is incorrect, try to refresh (press Back and try again).
If you update the images on your lists using a computer, it can be impossible to check in anywhere. Solution: empty cache and history on Foursquare app and reboot phone.

Using Google Drive to access PDF files is very slow and can cause problems to Sony Xperia Tipo (memory problems or something like that).
Instead of trying to download anything to Sony Xperia Tipo from Google Drive, use Sony Bridge for Mac to transfer files to "MEMORY CARD": "bluetooth" folder.
Use File Manager Pro to access the Bluetooth folder. You can bookmark the Bluetooth folder in File Manager Pro to find it faster.
