Operating System Settings

Introduction

Here are some of my operating system settings. These settings are for CPU, memory, stability, networking and display optimization (stability: don't index files at least for all directories) or for some other personal preferences (themes, etc.). These settings are not absolute, which means I may change them depending on what I'm currently doing with my computer and what kind of system I'm using (power management settings are different for desktop computers and laptops). Linux Settings (Fedora, Mandriva, Ubuntu)

Mac OS Settings (OS X, MacOS)

Windows Settings (Windows XP, Windows 7)
