Information

Name: Atari 520 STM.

Comments: This was my first computer and acted as my main computer from December 1987 to December 1993. I have given this computer to my friend in the 1990s.

Hardware

Case: keyboard part of case.

Television: some basic TV with SCART input. For example, I've used ASA 5121S (CRT, 21", 50 Hz, 80 W) and Philips 17AA3342/10B (CRT, 17", 50 Hz, 48 W).

Processor: Motorola 68000, 8 MHz, 16-/32-bit (16 bit data/32 bit internal).

Memory: 512 KB.

Display modes (50 Hz PAL, 60 Hz NTSC, 71.2 Hz monochrome):

- low resolution: 320 x 200 (16 color), palette of 512 colors

- medium resolution: 640 x 200 (4 color), palette of 512 colors

- high resolution: 640 x 400 (mono), monochrome

Sound: Yamaha YM2149 3-voice squarewave plus 1-voice white noise mono Programmable Sound Generator.

Floppy disk drive, external: Atari SF314, 3.5", double-sided, 720 KB

- usual formatting: tracks: 80, sectors: 9, interleave: 1
