Useful Graphics Applications
Introduction
Here are some graphics applications I have found useful including comments and tips. See also: Graphics Application Settings, GUI Design Applications, Programs, Operating Systems, Software.
Vector Graphics: Open/Edit SVG files
GIMP. LibreOffice. Google Draw.
Drawing
Sketchpad is a simple drawing program for OS X (copy original picture to a new window if you can't change the text size). LibreOffice Draw is part of LibreOffice suite. GIMP is for raster graphics, image retouching, free-form drawing, converting between different image formats, etc.
Image Viewers
11view, IrfanView and XnView are image viewers, but you can also use them to convert from one image format to another.
Morphing and Warping
WinMorph is for morphing and warping.
Photo Editing
Paint.NET is an image and photo editor for Windows.
Ray tracing
POV-Ray is used for creating 3D graphics with textures, etc.
Vector Graphics
Inkscape is a vector graphics editor. With Google Draw and LibreOffice Draw you can create SVG files.
