Useful GUI Design Applications

Introduction

Here are some graphical user interface (GUI) design applications for wireframes, mockups, web interfaces, Java interfaces, etc. See also: Graphics Applications, Programs, Operating Systems, Software.

Graphical User Interfaces, GUI Prototypes, Mockups

Evolus Pencil includes ready made UI components. LibreOffice Draw is fine for wireframes, but not for web page looks. Easel has been shut down. NetBeans IDE and Eclipse IDE are mainly for Java programming language.

Not So Useful But Maybe Some Day

Google Draw is too simple, but it's easy to move components. PageEdit for Google Chrome uses CKEditor, but you can't drag components. KompoZer is a fork of NVU and is based on Mozilla Composer, but is not very easy to use. You can use web browsers Amaya and SeaMonkey, but they are not very useful, if you want to control the size and place of web components.

Try Also

LibreOffice: File, New, Drawing (or XHTML Document). View, Toolbars, Form Controls: More Controls button.
