Operating System Installation Times

Introduction

Here are some of my operating system (OS) installation times (approximate times). Times include starting the installation CD/DVD, defining my installation settings, partitioning, formatting and waiting for the installation to end. Times also include restarting the operating system (happens a lot with Windows). I'm also mentioning some critical/recommended OS updates as you probably want to prepare your time for updates also before using your system online. When you use Microsoft Update it's wise to install a few updates (maybe about 15 updates) a time or you may run into bugs. Update times depend for example on my current network connection, how much the update servers are loaded at that time and how many updates there are to be downloaded and installed.
