Zoomed Shoe

3 Zoomed views of a Shoe

window Artist's Statement:

the idea was to zoom in on one of our pure contours of a shoe, and then zoom in on that to create three different zoomed views. We then took one of them to create something out of, and in my case I picked the last one, and made a window out of it. In my mind I saw curtains, so the obvious choice was a window.

I first used watercolor, and made the background, and the smaller details of the sill and latch. then I used sharpie pen to create the lines that I based this image off of.

the process that I used was to look at the zoomed picture from all angles, to see what I thought it looked like. I chose to use watercolor, because I like the way it invokes light, and since I was making a window, that seemed like a good choice.
