Identity:Family

Artist's Statement:

For this project the assignmet was to create 3 photos that we thought represented our family. I chose to photograph our closets, because I thought that gave a good sense of who were were as people, and as a family.

I liked the way that the colors that were in our closets all kind of matched. I think that we are all pretty colorful people, and that our closets could go together to form one. I also like how my dad's closet is mostly shirts, while my mom has mostly quilted jackets. I myself have mostly dresses, which some jackets, shirts, and skirts. 

One thing that I had maybe wanted to do was to have photos with people in them. I wasn't able to do this at this time however, because my mom is in brazil at the moment. I like that there is something that we all have in common, and while there are variations, I like we can all relate to liking colorful clothing.
