Artist's Statement:
The project was to take 10 photos of shadows and reflections, edit them, and display our edits. We also had to experiment some with black and white, and with contrast. The assignment was to experiment with different kinds of reflections, and how shadows affect a photo.
Some of the photographic techniques that I tried to use was rule of thirds, and rhythm and repetition. When I saw some of the instances where these photographic elements applied, I decided to take that shot, and use it in the photo.
One thing that I really liked was the experimentation with creating different shapes with shadows, and looking at reflections differently. After this assignment I found myself hyper aware of any reflections that I saw, which was a really interesting perspective change.
