Artist's Statement:

A success was some of the shots I was able to take, that were pretty well timed and well planned. In particular taking some of the shots that were more in the moment, like the bubbles, the umbrella, and the handstand. This was very fun, but took some trying again and again. In general, it took multiple shots to get one that I liked, but for some photos it more tries. Some of the most challenging things was finding specific things to fit the differnt prompts. it took some creativity and time to cover all of them. In particular, it was hard to come up with extreme lighting or shadow shots. However, I had a very accomodating model, who was willing to try differnt things out. It was a bit awkward at first, since we didn't know what to do, but eventually we got on a roll. After that, one of us would throw out an idea, and we would try it. sometimes I would have to say 'move back a bit', or 'look at a certain angle', and we would try again. This wasn't too awkward once we were on a roll however, but it was still a little weird to say. I know we were talking to each other the whole time, so I think that did some to put my model at ease.Â
