Sgraffito

Artist's Statement:

the idea was to create a clay tile use sgraffito. I chose a flower as my subject.

we used porcelain and underglaze, and scratched away the underglaze to create negative space. 

unfortunately, this is one of those pieces that gets destroyed in the making, so the finnished product is not available. I have learned to accept that art, and especially pottery, is unpredictable, and to go with the way things happen and not lament it.
