10SCI: Year 10 Science
Course Description
The Year 10 Science programme is designed around exploring a wide range of content related to the natural world. During the year, our students will journey through each strand of Level 5 of the Science Curriculum. This will include the Living, Material and Physical Worlds, Planet Earth and Beyond as well as the overarching Nature of Science. Year 10 Science is about building an understanding of science in the world around us and ways in which scientists interact with society. Our young students will develop skills in investigating, communicating and participating both within the Science learning context and across into other collaborative curriculum areas. Topics Covered: Living World, Material World, Physical World, Planet Earth & Beyond, the Nature of Science and Chemical Forensics.
Assessments will be a range of practical and theory work, where students will be given the opportunity to submit work to utilise a range of modes including practical demonstrations, video explanations, audiovisual presentations, written checkpoints and portfolio tasks.
