Level 2 Financial Literacy Skills

Course Description 

This course focuses on personal finance and improving students' financial literacy. By studying the topics of; Income and Taxation, Budgeting, Banking, Insurance and Legal Advice, students will gain an understanding of how to manage their income and finances - both now and for life beyond school.

Assessment

Assessments will be of six internal assessments, all are unit standards for a total of 17 credits. Three out of the six standards are referred to as “Financial Capability” and students can gain Achieved/Merit/Excellence for these standards.
