Level 2 Earth and Space Science

Course Description 

This is a general science course that connects the specific strand of Earth and Space Science to the other learning areas together and builds on the SCI100 programme. Students who have an interest in Science and enjoy practical experimental tasks but are unsure of which specific discipline to choose should select this course.  We like to encourage the students to investigate their passions alongside their teacher, this can include sports science, engineering challenges and understanding how our bodies work.

Standards may be offered from Biology, Chemistry, Earth and Space Science, and Physics. This course will be mostly internal assessment standards but an external standard may be offered to interested students.

Topics covered:  Standards will be offered mostly from  Earth and Space Science but may also include Biology, Chemistry, and Physics. This course will be mostly internal assessment standards but an external standard may be offered to interested students.

Prerequisite

12 Science credits or meeting with HOD if only have  8 credits.

Next steps

This can lead to a Level 3 Science course or a Level 3 specialist Science course depending on results.
