FIN300: Level 3 Financial Literacy
Course Description
This course continues to focus on personal finance and improving student’s financial literacy. By studying the topics of; income, budgeting, debt, savings and personal investment, students will further their understanding of how to manage their income and finances - both now and for life beyond school.

Assessment
Assessments will be of five internal assessments, all are unit standards for a total of 15 credits.
As well as the standards for assessment,this course can involve other aspects of becoming a confident financial citizen around issues and individual interests that arise during the year.
Two out of the five standards are referred to as “Financial Capability” and students can gain Achieved/Merit/Excellence for these standards.
