Level 2 STEM

Course Description 

This year we are excited to offer STEM as a senior subject. This is a cross curricular subject offering multiple pathways in the robotics, science and computing industries. The course will be modular and built around your chosen pathway and include achievement standards from the Digital and Science curriculum. Students will be faced with a challenge to meet using their personal skill sets of inquiry, critical thinking, coding or game design. The end product will need to meet the needs of the initial brief 

Note: 

• This course is dependent on sufficient numbers and staff availability to run. It will likely have students from Y11, 12 & 13 in a multi leveled class.  Please ensure you have selected an appropriate alternative option. 

Prerequisite

12 Science credits or 12 STEM credits or Digital Correspondence. Exceptional students in Y11 will require a  meeting with HOD as will those with only 8 credits.

Next steps

Students who achieve Level 2 STEM are able to progress further along the STEM careers line. Future career pathways through Senior STEM include; robotics, environmental scientist, most trades, medical science technologies, teacher, horticulture and agriculture industry, AI industry
