Contact information:

Head of Department:

Ms Jo Thapa

Course Description

At Level 2 the design programme continues to evolve students' digital literacy as they are required to explore more in-depth design questions.  In the classroom, the students will be encouraged to learn from others through discussion, observation, and peer and teacher feedback that focuses on challenging and extending cognitive skills and technical ability. Students will feel confident to take risks in their design work, to embrace failures and see them as opportunities to problem solve. Work will be evidenced by both digital and hand drawn idea development followed by a robust design process for the best possible solutions. At Level 2 the students will feel inspired and challenged to succeed in Design. A two-panel portfolio showing sequential development of work is submitted for assessment.
