Year 10 Visual Art

10ART: Year 10 Visual Art

Head of Department:

Ms Jo Thapa

Course Description

Visual Art teaches all important soft skills including problem solving, innovation, self-management and critical thinking. Through fun art projects students learn to become visual communicators and creative thinkers while developing practical art making skills in preparation for NCEA Level 1 Art. The students will have access to an array of relevant equipment and media to support them on their art journey. Plus we usually go on an art trip to a gallery, for boys to experience art in a gallery context.

The art room is a work space where imagination and personal culture are valued, and resilience and a life-long love of art making are fostered.
