Course Description
The Year 10 Art course teaches problem-solving, innovation, self-management, and critical thinking through fun art projects. Students learn to become visual communicators and creative thinkers while developing practical art-making skills in preparation for NCEA Level 1 Art. The students will have access to an array of relevant equipment and media to support them on their art journey. We also usually go on an art trip to a gallery, for boys to experience art in a gallery context.
The art room is a workspace where imagination and personal culture are valued, and resilience and a life-long love of art-making are fostered.
