[p 9] [Prince George County, Virginia] Personally came Mary [image partially obscured and illegible] of the County & State aforesaid [presumably Prince George County Virginia appears at the head of this document since the acknowledgment is taken in that County] before me Lemuel Hunnicutt an acting justice of the County and State aforesaid who being duly sworn deposeth and saith that Ann Hackney, Salley Hackney, William Rives in right of his wife, Joseph Womack in right of his wife, Travis H Womack Son of Salley Womack formally Salley Hackney and Hartwil Hackney's Heirs (viz.) Dudley Brockwell in right of his wife, Delington Roach and Robert Hackney, son of Hartwell are the only Heirs of William Hackney Deceased formerly a soldier in the Revolutionary war who services are proven by Thomas Dowden. Difficult to read, but it appears that William Hackney the Rev War soldier had no children, and his heirs were descendants of his siblings. It list the heirs on 12 Nov 1834 as:

Caroline Wiseman, wife of William Wiseman, for life,

then to her children. A moiety of my negroes to each

the entire estate, and divide balance of it among my

children. If she marry or die, all estate to be sold and

divided among children living at that time. Children not

p.91, Marks and wife, &c against Bryant and wife. 1809 - Travis Womack, deceased, John Marks and Patsy his wife and Polly Titmarsh were the legatees interested in establishing the will. Thomas B Bryant and Sally his wife summoned to Prince George Co Court Sep term 1804... Travis Womack nuncupative will presented to Edward Marks Jr and Jemima Simmons ...

p.94 - [Travis Womack] was a young unmarried man boarding with a Mr Gary at City Point, left that place the Sunday before his death, on a visit to his only sister, the wife of Bryant... spoke will to Edward Marks, Henry Simmons and Jemima Simmons ... that he gave to his cousin Patsy Marks, wife of John Marks, the appellant, who had been his guardian ... his negro woman Sukey ... and to his "poor old" aunt Polly Titmarsh a sum of money and 60 acres of land near her house called Hackney's (which being real property could not be given in a nuncupative will), that he had other personal property, viz. two other slaves and two horses, which together with his land fell to Bryant's wife as his nearest relation, that he owned 100 acres ... words spoken 21 Oct 1803, written down and signed by Mrs. Simmons 26 Oct 1803.

“Thomas B. Bryant was born between 1777 and 1778, where and to whom is unknown, although some sources claim he hailed from Raleigh (Wake) North Carolina. He died in Prince George County and his gravestone in the Waverly Burying Ground, now vanished, was inscribed:

In/ Memory of/ Rev. Thos. B. Bryant/ Died March 31, 1841/ in the 63rd year of his age./ For more than 39 years he/ was a follower of Christ./ And for more than 23 years/ a parish minister of his/ word in the Methodist/ Episcopal Church./ ‘Mark the perfect man/ and behold the up right/ for the end/ of that man is peace.’/ Psalms 37-37.

Thomas’ wife was Sarah Womack, probably daughter of John Womack of Prince George County. Her gravestone was inscribed:

In/ Memory of/ Mrs. Sarah/ wife of/ Rev. T. B. Bryant,/ Born Sept. 28, 1779/ Died Dec. 9, 1822/ Blessed are the pure/ in heart for they/ shall see God.”

William Temple of Prince George County, Virginia : and his descendants (book) - Mary Temple married John Womack and they had son Temple Womack.

Abram Wamack his X mark (seal). In PG county clerks office 19 Jan 1846, Deed of Gift acknowledged by Abram Wamack.
