p.15 Feb 1745/6. Anne Womack witness for John Twitty against Seth Petty Poole, 50 lbs tobacco for two days attendance.

p.37 Jun 1746. The LWT of Francis Harris decd was presented in court by Juliana Womock (late Juliana Harris) and Simon Harris the executors named therein, proved by oaths of witnesses George Rives and Nathaniel Hicks; Willm Womack and sd Juliana his wife and Simon Harris executors with security bond of George Rives and John Peterson. [See Brunswick WB 2:102-(116)]

p.132 Feb 1746/7. On the motion of his Majesty's attorney leave is granted for him to file an Information on behalf of his Majesty and one David Jims [?, possibly James?] against one John Womack planter for Hog-stealing and it is ordered that process issue accordingly against the said John returnable to the next court.

p.141 Mar 1746/7. William Womack, Burrell Brown & Henry Cook witnesses to deed (Livery of Sevin) from Benjamin Rives, George Rives and wife Sary, and Thomas Jeffries to Timothy Rives. [See Brunswick DB 3:261]

p.142 Mar 1746/7. Deed pact from William Womack to his son-in-law [this could mean step-son during this period, and likely did in this case] Benjamin Sykes was acknowledged by said William. [See Brunswick DB 3:273].

p.143 Mar 1746/7. On the motion of Juliana Womack and Simon Harris executors of the LWT of Francis Harris ordered that Michael Wall and John Wall Junr be appointed to settle an account current of the estate.

p.143 Mar 1746/7. Upon the attachment obtained by Nathaniel Edwards Gent [from] Richd Ransone Gent a member of this Court against the Estate of John Womack (who is said to abscond so that process cannot be served on him) for 2/14/7 current money the sherif having returned that he has attached some tobacco and a bed of the Estate of the said John which he has secured [?]. This day came the said Nathaniel by Robert Jones Junr his attorney and the said John being solemnly called came not but made default nor is his Estate aforesaid attached reptevied [reprieved?]. Therefore it is considered by the Court that the said Nathaniel who proved the Justness of his Demand by his own oath recover against the said John 2/14/7 current money and his costs by him about his suit in this behalf expended and it is ordered that the Sherif make sale of the Tobo. and bed aforesaid at public auction according to Law and return an account of the said sale to the next court.

p.149 Mar 1746/7. David Jims who proecutes as well for our Lord the King as for himself Informer vs John Womack Planter Deft } Upon an Informa [information?] for Hog-stealing. This day came the Informant by Robert Jones Jr his attorney and saith that he will not prosecute futher against the said Deft upon the Information aforesaid. Therefore it is considered by the court that the Informant take nothing by his Information but for his false Clamour be in Mercy and that the said Deft go thereof hence without day [? delay].

p.150 Mar 1746/7. Upon the attachment obtained by Peter Allaridge from John Wills Gent a member of this Court against the Estate of John Womack (who is said to have privately removed himself out of this County or so absconds that the ordinary process cannot be served for him) for 4/8/4 current money of Virginia. William Renn Constable having returned that he had attached in James Stewart's hand 40 shillings Cash and two Cows two yearlings two heifers and one steer of the estate of the said John Womack who solemnly called came not but made default and it being the opinion of the court that the service of the attachment is good altho served by a Constable as the same was grounded upon the act of assembly in the Tenth Year of his present Majesty's Reign Intitled "an Act for preventing persons contracting small debts to remove their Effect out of the County where they Reside and for allowing a Lawyer Fee is some Cases upon Recoveries had upon petitions" which appeared by the Testimony of the said John Willis. Therefore it is considered that the said Peter recover agst the said John Womack 4/8/4 current money of Virginia and his Costs by him about his suit in this behalf expended abd it is ordered that the said William deliver the said Cattle to the sherif of this County and that the sherif make sale thereof according to law and return an account of such sale to the next court and the said James being sworn acknowledgeth that he stood justly indebted to the said John Womack for 40 shillings and seven pence current money whereupon it is ordered that the said James pay 40 shillings part thereof to the said Peter towards satisfaction of the judgement.

p.223 Jul 1747. Peter Aldridge Pet vs John Womack } Upon an attachment. Henry Embry one of the undersherifs of this County having returned That he was stopt from selling the Deft's attached effects by Consent of the Pet. It is ordered that the order of the 5th of March last for the said sale be Repealed.

p.252 Aug 1747. Certain articles of Agreement between John Womack of the one part and John Willis of the other part were prov'd to be the Act and Deed of the said John Womack by the oaths of Samuel Lucas William Barton and John Gladdish the witnesses thereto and ordered to be recorded. [See Brunswick DB3:339].

p.296 Nov 1747. William Womack is appointed a Constable in this County.

Defendant Dupree acknowledges debt, the court rules the plaintiff recover half the amount with interest, John Inman being no inhabitant.

DB 2:477 (LDS Film # 007893740, image 256/638) - Deed, 24 Mar 1743/4, William Johnson in North Carolina to John Womack of Brunswick Co, for 12 pounds, land in St Andrew Parish, Brunswick Co, on the north side of Meherrin River and on Royers Swawp, 300 acres, beginning at Major Benjamin Harrison's line along the Main Road till it comes to a pond at a Large Pine corner thence to Royers where it corners at a Gum Tree, thence down Royers along to Major Harrison's line and along that to the beginning. Signed William Johnson LS. Witnesses George Mackenzie, Nathaniel Edwards, Adam Sims. Possession taken 24 Mar 1743/4. Brunswick court 5 Apr 1744 proved by George McKenzie and Adam Sims. Signed John I Wamock (L S) [the I was his mark]. Witnesses Samuel Lucas, William his W mark Barlow, John Gladish. Brunswick court, 6 Aug 1747, proved by oaths of Samuel Lucas, William Barlow and John Gladish.

DB 13:108 (LDS Film # 008141127, image 238/406) - 22 May 1778, William Blunt and Mary his wife of Southampton Co to William Wommock of Brunswick Co, for 75 pounds, 100 acres in Brunswick Co, beginning at a red oak John Curtis and Benjamin Rives ... granted to Francis Harris by patent dated 20 June 1733. Signed William Blunt (L S). Witnesses William Edwards, John Stewart, John Dawson, John Turner, Moses Rives, John Peter. Possession taken and money received from William Wommack 20 June 1777 [sic], same witnesses. Brunswick Court, 25 May 1778, proved by oaths of John Dawson, John Turner and John Peter.
