Henrico Deeds, mostly those with with Womack as grantee or grantor

NOTE 1: Note that Weisiger mistakenly abstracted this as" Abraham Womack Jr to son Thomas Womack", but original does not say Jr or Sr.  Abraham Sr signed with his mark which looked like AW (with the middle of the W made like an X, so it sometimes resembled AXI) on everything he signed; whereas his son Abraham Jr could sign his own name.

NOTE 2: For some deeds, we just have the court record for when they were proved in court, not the actual deed which has been lost.

400 acres Richard Womack Jr bought from William Grills in 1712 was a patent to William Grills, VPB 10:162-3 (LDS 008140673, image  179/855), 16 Jun 1714, 400a Henrico/ at Sapponey Town of N s Appomattox Riv.  Note that Grills had already sold the land by the time he was awarded the patent.

Later adjacent patents that mention Richard Womack's lines:

Thomas Womack got 2 patents ajacent to this patent

200 acres Richard Womack Jr bought from Richard Grills in 1712 was part of a 3000 acre patent to Richard Grills, VPB 10:177;1, 16 Jun 1714.  Starting at Akins corner, many sides, Winterpock Creek.

Adjacent patents that mention Richard Womack's linr

This may have been more than 200 acres, because it appears to be the 250 acres willed to George Carter by Richard Womack Jr, which Carter in turn sold to Thomas Jefferson [grandfather of the President?].

The 690 acres sold by Richard Womack Jr in 1712 appears to be a patent to Henry Soane in 1718 for 690 acres north of Swift Creek.  By the time Soane was awarded the grant in 1718, he had sold it to Richard Womack Jr who in turn had sold it to Richard Grills; note that a John Soane was a witness to the deed from Womack to Grills.  There is a patent adjacent to Henry Soane for James Legran [Legrand], 1718, which has a corner adjacent Soane that is described in the upper line of Richard Womack.
