Researcher Fred Womack stated the deed said that “being same land that came to John Harvey by right of inheritance from FREDERICK WOMMACK on 23 AUG 1765”. However, I read the deed carefully, and it says “which aforementioned tract or tracts of land was conveyed by deed or grant from Frederick Wommack bearing date the 23rd day of August 1765”.]

Frederick Womack was named as son of William Womack in William's will.

Records of Allen Womack

    • Effingham Co, GA DB A:351-2 - 4 Mar 1791 - Allen Womack, William Womack, Levi Thrower witnesses to deed from John Bandy to Frederick Womack

    • THE PRAYER BOOK of William and Elizabeth Womack listed Betsey Womack (born 8 Nov 1789) and Lucy Womack (born 8 Nov 1792) as the daughters of Allen Womack. Additionally, right before the listing for Betsey Womack in the Bible is a listing for Sarah Black (born 4 Feb 1788) who may have been a daughter or step-daughter of Allen. Lastly, the Bible lists a B A Womack (born 11 Oct 1794) who was likely Benjamin A Womack, the son of Allen Womack. This B A Womack could not have been the child of William and Elizabeth Womack because the Bible shows their daughter Hester "Hetty" Womack was born 3 June 1794, only 4 months and 8 days before B A Womack was born.
