[Note that the Cumberland County court met at Mosby's Tavern (in present-day Powhatan Co, VA; address 2625 Old Tavern Road Rd, Powhatan, VA 23139) from the formation of Cumberland Co from Goochland in 1749, until the formation of Powhatan from Cumberland in 1777. After Abraham Womack sold his land in Cumberland in 1767 (see deeds above), I believe he moved to Halifax Co, VA, near the present town of Clover. In this court record, he traveled 80 miles to Cumberland court, at Mosby's Tavern. Google Maps shows a couple different routes from Clover, VA to Mosby's Tavern in Powhatan, VA, ranging from 75.2 miles to 78.8 miles. Since the modern bridges did not exist, Abraham had to cross major rivers at ferries, which likely took his mileage closer to 80 miles.]
