I Solomon Womack being weak in body but sound in mind after commending my mortal body to my relatives and friends to be decently buried and my Soul to God who gave it do make this last will and testament viz.
First I give and bequeath my home tract of land to my beloved wife Margaret for four years after he first of January 1869, then after the expiration of said four years I order the following boundaries as her dower during her natural life or widowhood - Beginning at the mouth of a gully some distance north of Cynthia Hills running thence near a west direction to a black walnut marked D L thence something north of west to the corner of a plumb [sic] orchard a few rods north of my present dwelling thence near west to a lane and with the center of said lane to G Y Pylants line,
2nd I order and bequeath all the South part of my home tract as my wife's dower as above specified and divided.
3rd I order and bequeath all the North portion as divided by above lines to be sold and equally divided between all my lawfull [sic] heirs.
4th I give and bequeath to my wife one certain yellow and one bay mare also 15 head of sheep 15 head of choice stock hogs 2 cows and calves choosing for herself the smallest yoke of oxen and wagon all the corn and all the roughness [?] of the place and the growing crop excepting the new ground.
5th Also one thousand pounds of bacon all the house hold and kitchen furniture excepting the two bedsteads beds and clothing for each of my first wife's daughters namely Jemima Jane and Sophia Elizabeth.
6th I order my wife to furnish my two sons Bolen and Thomas with a colt apiece in the Spring of 1869 if nor Providentially prevented and id so prevented as soon thereafter as can be done.
7th I give and bequeath to my wife two plows and gearing and all the boards and lumber one scythe and cradle.
8th I give and bequeath to my son David one yellow horse and saddle and the growing crop on the new ground as specified in article 4th.
9th I order that tract of land on which my son James now lives be sold after the first of January 1869. I further order that my son James have the rent of the place above mentioned for the years 1868 and 1869.
10th I then order the remainder of my effects to be sold and all my just debts paid and the balance of the proceeds of said Sale to be equally divided between my lawful heirs.
11th I order my two sons Bolen and Thomas to have a good common saddle apiece and of the proceeds of the Sale as specified in article 10th.
I hereby appoint L Logan my sole executor of this my last will and testament hereby revoking all former wills by me made in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand seal.
