Zach Andrews leads Patriots past Wolfpack on the rifle range

FAIRBANKS — Zach Andrews shot match-highs in air rifle and smallbore to lead North Pole past West Valley on Saturday.

The Patriots won air rifle 2,090-1,947 and smallbore 1,904-1,600.

Andrews shot a personal best of 550 in air rifle and a 507 in smallbore.

Caleb Simmons followed Andrews with a 522 in the air rifle event. Mitch Durrant shot a 518 and Andrew Accola shot a 500 to round out the Patriots scoring.

Delaney Reece led the Wolfpack with a 500 in air rifle with Quetzal Luebke right behind at 496. Bailey Roe shot a 490, and Steven Dieringer rounded out the Wolfpack with a 461.

Durrant finished second in smallbore behind Andrews with a 498. Accola shot a 459 while Simmons fired a 440.

Luebke led the Wolfpack with a 438 in smallbore. Roe followed with a 427 and Dieringer shot a 371. Reece rounded out the Wolfpack’s scoring with a 364.
