Lathrop shoots past North Pole

FAIRBANKS— JT Schnering shot match-highs in air rifle and smallbore to lead Lathrop past North Pole on Saturday at the Alaska Department of Fish and Game.

The Malemutes won air rifle 2,284-2,138 before taking smallbore 2,171-1,435.

Schnering shot a 586 in air rifle and a 561 in smallbore.

Connor Gilman finished second behind Schnering in air rifle with a 576. MaLinda Malenfant followed with a 564 and Chloe Allan rounded out the Malemutes air rifle score with a 558.

Zachary Andrews led the Patriots in air rifle with a 545, followed by Caleb Simmons at 538. Andrew Accola (535) and Mitch Durrant (520) finished the Patriots team score.

Liam Eberhart tied with Schnering for the match-high in smallbore with a 561. Allan followed with a 531 and Malenfant shot a 517.

Andrews again led the Patriots with a 530 in smallbore. Accola fired a 502 with Durrant shooting a 497. Simmons added a 482.
