21 Mile R & P Shooting Club would like to welcome two new Rifle Head Coaches, Benita Ryman, Head Coach for NPH and Travis Stagg, Head Coach for WVH.

Benita Rydman and her family arrived in North Pole in June 2012 and became proud North Pole homeowners within 2 months. Benita is an Army Veteran of almost 15 years, an Army spouse and her son, Alexander, is a freshman at North Pole High School. She has a degree in graphic design and has been a volunteer coach for many school age teams at several Army Installations. Although new to the sport, she has a lot of experience with Army weapons, rifle marksmanship and range operations.

Travis Stagg is originally from upstate New York, he moved to Fairbanks in 2002 with his wife who is physical therapist in town. Since that time, he has been teaching physics, astronomy and AP physics at West Valley, recently completing his 17th year of teaching high school. His interests have included many Alaskan activities such as dog mushing, curling, and flying. Over the years, a few of his classroom students have been West Valley rifle team members, so he would hear about or visit some of their competitions. He found the sport exciting, and learned to appreciate the skill and coordination demonstrated by the athletes. Working with Jason this year has given him a chance to learn more about competitive rifle and is looking forward to our season.
