Lathrop rifle outshoots West Valley

The Lathrop Malemutes swept the West Valley Wolfpack in a Region VI rifle dual meet Saturday at the Tanana Valley Sportsmen’s Association facility.

Lathrop took the varsity air rifle by a score of 2,242-2,080 and won the smallbore 2,173-1,932. The Malemutes also won the junior varsity air rifle 2,113-1,795.

JT Schnering led the Malemutes varsity with a 569 score in the air rifle and 556 total in the smallbore.

Delaney Reece was West Valley’s top air rifle shooter with a 539 and Quetzal Luebke led the Wolfpack with a 499 in the smallbore.
