July 28th

More photos from squadded practice. Here is a short video of Tom Simonsen at the 300 yard line.

Today was a non-shooting day for me. So I organized my range box and ammo load out for tomorrow's President's 100 match.

Afterwards, I drove over to Camp Perry to meet teammate Tom Simonsen (Michigan) and pick up the rest of my ammo. I hung around a bit to take photos of the squadded practice session which basically consists of five relays, each shooting unlimited slow fire sighters in ten minutes from prone at 300 yards, and again at 600.

Because I shot across the course and MRP last weekend at Fort Wainwright, I elected to skip shooting today and rest from the trip.

I also made a tour of commercial row, where I bought a Black Panther A4 stripped upper, and a Black Panther 1/7 twist barrel. I also found a flash hider at the Springfield Amory vendor. Couldn't beat the prices. This winter's project will be to complete a barreled upper for my Bushmaster XM15E2S.
