The 21 Mile Gun Club was blessed with another beautiful day on the range today, 3 Jun 2012. Conditions were nearly perfect for our first Highpower Match at Ft. Wainwright of the summer. Ralph Renes took home the honors with a 759-11X and Ken Gill was close on his heels with a 759-9X. The Army has installed new target carriers and number boards on the KD Range. Operations went very smooth once everyone got accustomed to the new equipment. We also used the new scoring method accepted by the NRA and CMP. I have to admit it did make things easier. Kudos to Ken Gill for his work to get the range in great shape for our first match. We were the first shooters to use the new target carriers.
Our next Highpower matches are 23/24 Jun at Ft. Wainwright. Saturday will be the Mid-Range Prone Match and Sunday will be an 80-shot Across the Course Match. Please grab a friend or new shooter and meet us at the range.
