Hutchison shoots past North Pole

FAIRBANKS — Gabe Stutz and Amy Gentry helped lead the Hutchison rifle team past North Pole 4,387-3,579 on Oct. 10 and 12. The Hawks downed the Patriots 2,243-1,893 in air rifle and 2,144-1,686 in smallbore.

Stutz led all shooters in air rifle, shooting a 574 while Gentry finished at 571.

The two switched in smallbore, with Gentry leading all shooters with a 553 and Stutz in second at 550.

Garrett Snyder (560 air rifle, 520 smallbore) and Emma Daniels (538 air rifle, 521 smallbore) round out the Hawks shooters.

The Patriots were led by Caleb Simmons, who shot a 522 in air rifle and a 426 in smallbore. Zachary Andrews finished second for the Patriots in smallbore with a 492, followed by Noah Scheff (440), and Mitch Durrant (429).

Durrant led the Patriots in smallbore, shooting a 437. Simmons came in second on the Patriots in smallbore with a 426 followed by Andrews (425) and Andrew Accola (398).
