2011 Alaska State 3PAR Junior Olympic Championship

This year the the Borealis Bullseyes sponsor this match, The Borealis Bullseyes is an Anchorage 4-H shooting sports club offering youth development opportunities through competitive rifle and pistol shooting disciplines. The club is affiliated with the Civilian Marksmanship Program, the National Rifle Association, USA Shooting and the American Legion; organizations that sponsor state and national championship matches for Junior Olympic athletes. Shooting is done in the East High School rifle range using precision or sporter class, .177 cal. air rifles at paper and electronic targets. Most shooters in the club have their own gear and have competed on one of the local high school teams. The club has sporter and precision class equipment for beginners and holds basic marksmanship classes on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Advanced practice sessions are held Monday and Wednesday evenings. Sporter membership is open to middle and high school age youth from any school for an annual $20.00 fee. Precision membership is $50.00. Most of our activity happens January through July each year, after the Anchorage School District rifle season. The shooters will participate in several postal matches while preparing for state and national championships.
