It was another nice day at the range on Sunday. What started out as a very moist morning turned into a nice day with no wind, no bugs, and lots of lead slung downrange. Our attendance was a little off, but the rain and Memorial Day weekend probably had something to do with that. Chuck Herbert walked away with the honors and a 763-17X, but Joe Fath was close on his heels with at 760-16X. Joe’s hoping to snag a Master classification this summer; hopefully he’ll get it. Gene Scarboro managed to find karma with his beloved K31 in the Vintage Match while posting a 280-3X.
Our next match will be next Sunday, 3 Jun at Ft. Wainwright KD Range. Showtime is 7 AM and shooting starts at 8 AM. As usual, station your shooting gear on the 200 yd line and we’ll muster in the 600 yd parking lot. Be prepared to spend a few hours outside. Water, lunch, bug dope, and ear/eye protection are recommended as usual. See you at the range.
