West Valley outshoots North Pole

FAIRBANKS — Phillip Wilson led all shooters with a 547 in air rifle and a 513 in smallbore to lead West Valley rifle past North Pole on Sunday at the E.F. Horton Rifle Range at the University of Alaska Fairbanks.

The Wolfpack outshot the Patriots 2,092-2,034 in air rifle and 1,849-1,844 in smallbore.

Garrett Sheets finished second on the Wolfpack in air rifle, shooting a 521, followed by Quetzal Luebke-Laroque at 515 and Jessie Barrett at 509.

In smallbore, Luebke-Laroque shot a 491, followed by Steven Diering at 433 and Alex Kozarik at 412.

The Patriots were led by Caleb Simmons. He shot a 531 in air rifle and 483 in smallbore, both tops among Patriots. Zachary Andrews finished second on the Patriots in both events, shooting 527 in air rifle and 470 in smallbore.

Andrew Accola shot 492 in air rifle, while Mitch Durrant shot 484 in air rifle and 463 in smallbore. Noah Scheff shot 428 in smallbore.
