Sunday was another nice day to shoot. Temps were in positive territory and no wind. Our current Alaska State Highpower Champion walked away with another victory in the Highpower Match. Ken Gill posted a 763-16X. Larry Fulmer has become almost unbeatable in the Vintage/As-Issued Military Rifle Match. Although a little below his normal scores, Larry shot a 266-3X with his 1917 Enfield while Ralph Renes was close behind with a 260-2X. Ralph was also shooting an Enfield. It was interesting to note that there were no M1 Garands shot in the match today and Scott Colledge shot the only semi-auto; an M1 Carbine. Needless to say the bolt guns were in the majority. I had a good time watching Peter Markert reloading the 30-40 Krag in the rapid fire string.
Our next matches will be at Eielson AFB on Sun, 18 Mar. Showtime is 8am and start at 9am. See you there.
