The second part of question 1 b) is always about joining, securing, fixing, holding, attachments to the ‘product’ - that you will be asked to design in part (c). This question is also worth 4 marks (8% of the total marks for the exam). The usual expectation is that you provide 2 ‘solutions / ideas’ or ‘answers’, each worth 2 marks. Combined with part (c) this represents 32% of the total marks.
It is important that you answer with quick, clear sketches using a fine line pen for clarity
You must annotate your sketch quickly
You should spend no longer than 6 minutes, ideally less(!), in total on this part b) of the question so you need to sketch quickly, but clearly!
