You are to design and model a new single shot coffee pod machine. To do this, you will need to carry out a series of tasks to ensure that you have the information you need to be successful.
You are to carry out secondary market research on single shot coffee pod machines. Please use Google / Pinterest or other websites to collect a range of images of a range of machines that are visually very different.
We will use ACCESS FM to highlight the key requirements of the coffee machine. This will be a classwork activity with your teacher. You will look at your image boards and contribute key words / observations from your image board that the teacher will write on the smart board. You will write these requirements /observations down in the format of a Design Specification on the template provided to you. This template has been started to assist you. You must aim to make the specification points as specific, measurable and justified as possible.
You are going to evaluate one of the single shot coffee pod machines on your Image Board. You will also use your Design Specification to help you. To do this, you will follow the steps below.
Identify 4 key points about your coffee machine. For example, the material, safety features, aesthetic appearance, functionality, etc.
Write an evaluation paragraph for each one of these points.
Each paragraph must have a sentence describing the point, a sentence explaining about the point and a sentence evaluating how this links to the coffee machine.
One paragraph has been done for you as an example.
You will go through this with your teacher and then do 4 paragraphs of your own.
