A Gantt chart is a 'table' showing your projected use of time to solve the problem you are undertaking. The table should have 2 rows for each 'area' / topic / section of your coursework, showing when you planned to complete an area / topic / section and then when it actually happened (in a different colour). You do not lose marks if you do not stick to your timeplan! This is basic Project Management.
You need to include a Key as to what the colours you use mean i.e. planned, actual.
The columns should be separated ideally by weeks, or you can use dates if you wish.
At the end of your project, before handing in, you should revisit this time plan filling in all areas and add text boxes to explain what happened and why.
NB Your final deadline will be March 2026
The columns along the top should be in Weeks (1, 2, 3 etc.) and then the Rows should be what area of your project you are planning to complete in the amount of time to allow. For example, you may allow 2 or 3 weeks (columns) for the initial Identification of Problem and so you would colour those cells. If you completed this research in less time then you would complete the row below colouring two cells (columns) etc.
You need to change the dates, titles and key colours for your project. I would recommend doing this table in Excel, Pages or Numbers.
This is a great example as it includes text boxes to explain what happened. The text boxes were added at the end of the project.
