Prep 5
Reearch: Analysis
Download and Insert this JPEG image into your Google Slides / PowerPoint and then add in an image of an existing USB Hub style of product. Then add text boxes to analyse under the headings given.
Prep 6 - Use this slide as the background image for your Design Ideation (ideas)
Download this sheet and then insert your design ideas work by photographing your work and inserting onto the slide. Then upload your ideas sheey to your website. OR you can just upload your design sheets to your website (whichever looks best).
You should start by sketching, in just pencil only, your first thoughts for ideas for your USB lifestyle hub. Think where the usb connectors will go and where the power cable will come out. Then think of the attachments you are going to include and where they will go. Think about materials, 'add ons', the weight and balance of the product, the style etc. You should then use a black fine line pen to communicate these ideas more clearly. You can add colour if you wish or add tone with a black fine line pen - NOT a pencil unless it is a coloured pencil!
Note - If you feel confident with Onshape you could very quickly use the softwrae to create any quick 3D CAD models. If you feel confident with modelling materials (cardboard, Foam) you could quickly make a model and photograph that and then add details to the photograph with a fine line pen - examples to follow.
