Lesson & Homework task 1

If you have not previously created your own web'Site' then now is an opportunity to do so as you start in the Senior school. Click here to learn how to create your own Site.

You need to add a new 'Landing' or 'Title' Page to your existing D&T website that you most likely created with Mr. Douglas or Mrs. Douglas in the Prep school. You should name your Landing or Title page 'Resin Poured Lamp'. You should make your page look interesting and exciting through adding some images of resin poured products as inspiration alongisde images of some existing table lamps that you find inspiring or like the look of. Think about a 'theme' (template themes / colours / imagery etc.) for your layout and where the menu's / buttons might be viewed - this site has the menu's at the top and buttons are used to link to pages.

For this project please create the following Pages and Subpages on your site:

• Landing / Title page - Resin Poured lamp project. To this page you should add information such as a Project Overview (Identification of problem) but ideally in your own words rather than just copied and pasted from this site, and the Design Brief (clikc the button below) - what you are going to do, again ideally in your own words. You should then make your 'Landing / Title' page look good by adding imagery of: resin pouring, hardwoods, table lamps, lamp decorations, lamp details etc. so that the page looks interesting and exciting.

You then need to add a number of Subpages to your Landing / Title page, including:

• Research

• Design Ideas

• Foam Modelling

• Development of an Idea

• Final Design

• Onshape modelling

• Diary of Manufacture

• Final photos 

• Evaluation

Once you have added content to your site you MUST Publish your page (top right blue button) and then share the published weblink of your site to the set Google Classroom assignment from your teacher.
