To prepare to start modelling your final selected design proposal in Onshape you need to do a few things that will help and make a real difference.
You need to make sutre that you have a digital screenshot of your final design, ideally in a 2D view. This does not need to be rendered (but can be) and should have clear line work.
You need to know some critical measurements for your Lamp design.
What is the total height of your design proposal?
What is the width of the Base part?
What is the length of the Base part?
You need to add lots more measurements to make sketching your design in Onshape as easy as possible.
To help you get the measurements required you should measure your foam model as a starting point, asking questions like: is the model the correct size? Have you changed any dimensions from your model to your final design?
You should create a page on your Site to put an image / screenshot of your final design proposal along with all of the critical measurements, that you will be able to access and reference when we start Onshape modelling next lesson.
An easy and ideal way to this this would be to use your Screenshot of your final design proposal and then add a new layer in Procreate and Add Text for the measurements, using your foam model as a reference, Then save that image and place it into your website.
