You now need to select, develop and refine one of your initial Design Ideas. Consider the shape and form. Can you change anything. If you have lots of straight edges then try and round them. If you have lots of curves then what happens if you add straight lines. Look at the base and anything you could develop. What if you added some holes? Have you developed all 3 layers? Have you identified the hole for the Brass pin. Will the mosquito coil 'sit' low enough in your work?
You will need to use the Development sheet that will be shared with you by your teacher. This work will be completed on the iPad using Procreate. It should also include your test foam model. This is to 'realise' your developed idea before starting resin pouring and manufacture to ensure that you are sure of your design and that it will work! More information on Foam modelling can be found here.
The template shown below will be shared with you. You will use Procreate to develop one of your chosen design ideas. You should look to modify and test the shape and form of your design idea. You should 'integrate' photos of your foam model using the layers in Procreate. These layers have already been set up for you - you should remove the existing photos of the foam models and replace them with your own. You can then use the Pen tool to sketch over your photos and also the Marker & Mask tools to add texture / colour to your model.
Click on the Buttons below to see 'How to' videos if you want to know how to: Insert a photograph of your foam model; how to remove (erase) parts of the photo that you do not want; how to manipulate the photo.
