Planning - Cutting list / Materials List
A Materials List or Cutting List identifies the Parts of your product design that need to be made with a quantity (how many of each part). You need to list the Size of the parts. If you are using timber or metal in your project then the size (3 x dimensions - length, width, height / depth) will be that of the raw material needed which will then be cut down. You may need to ask your teacher for information and advice about this (as well as the cost). You should try to give information about the material and do not just say Wood, Plastic, Metal but be specific i.e. Teak, Iroko, Mahogany, Aluminium, Brass, Acryclic, PLA, Resin etc.
