2026 Evatt Primary School Board

Following the recent appointment process for parent representatives, I’m pleased to announce the composition of the 2026 Evatt Primary School Board:

I look forward to working collaboratively with our School Board as we continue progressing our school improvement journey. 

Thank You P&C + Happy Mother’s Day

A big thank you to our wonderful P&C, who this week ran our very popular Mother’s Day Stall.

It was also lovely to see a record turnout at our P&C meeting on Tuesday evening, where we discussed a range of upcoming events and explored ways to continue improving our school.

We are very fortunate to have such a supportive and active P&C, whose ongoing contributions add enormous value to our school community.

We’d also like to extend a very happy Mother’s Day to all of our mums and mother figures this Sunday, and sincerely thank you for everything you do for your children and our community.

Explicit Instruction – School Leader & Teacher Visit

Last week, we welcomed around 30 teachers and school leaders to Evatt Primary School to observe and learn about how we incorporate Explicit Instruction into our teaching and learning programs.

Explicit Instruction is one of the eight recommended practices identified through the Literacy and Numeracy Reviews, and our school is proud to be sharing our approach with schools that are in the earlier stages of their journey in this area.

A huge thank you to our fabulous teachers, who generously showcased both their practice and the excellent learning taking place in their classrooms during the visit. We are very proud of the work being done across our school.

Parking Update

We recently met with the ACT Government Road Safety Team, who are currently reviewing the parking signage at the front of the school. We hope to provide the community with an update in the coming weeks.

A reminder that a valid disability parking permit is required to use the designated accessible parking spaces in our car park. It is important that these spaces remain available for the students, families, and community members who require them.
