By popular demand, Mental Maths Mondays with our resident mathemagicians, Mika and Mario, are back! This round of sessions will be open to students in Years 3–6.
Sessions will run in the library on Monday afternoons in Weeks 2–5 next term, lasting 30 minutes each. Parents don’t need to attend, though it would be great if you could join.
These fun and interactive sessions are designed to help students strengthen their maths automaticity skills while enjoying the magic of numbers.
Keep an eye out next week for our flyer and registration link!
We’ve had a fantastic couple of weeks at Evatt Primary School celebrating both Book Week and our Book Fair.
It was wonderful to see so many families visiting the stall last week and purchasing books. Not only are books a wonderful addition to every home, but your support also helps us raise valuable funds for the school.
Thank you to everyone who joined in and helped make this event such a success!
We are very proud of Tamara J (Year 5) who recently represented Evatt Primary School at Government House, performing for Her Excellency Sam Mostyn, Governor-General of Australia.
Tamara sang as part of the ACT Education Instrumental Music Program Young Voices Choir at the Wattle Day Celebrations.
Congratulations, Tamara, on this wonderful achievement!
A big thank you to our amazing P&C for organising and running the Father’s Day Stall this week. Our students loved choosing a special gift, which we know will be warmly received by dads and special people on Sunday.
We wish all our dads and father figures a very Happy Father’s Day!
The Evatt Primary School Bike Club runs every Thursday for students who have returned their permission form. Students ride in two groups (K/1/2) and (3/4/5/6) under the guidance of our wonderful parent volunteers, Duane and Veronica.
If your child would like to join, permission forms are available at the front office. Please note that students must already be able to ride to participate.
A huge thank you to Duane and Veronica for the fabulous job they do each and every week to keep Bike Club running smoothly!
I am thrilled to share that thanks to your incredible support, our recent Scholastic Book Fair was a huge success! With 30% of all sales coming back to the school, we’ve raised an amazing $1800 worth of books for our school library.
Your enthusiasm for reading and commitment to our students’ learning journey means the world to us. Whether you purchased a book, a book mark or simply helped spread the word—your contribution has made a lasting impact.
These new books will help spark imaginations, fuel curiosity, and foster a lifelong love of reading in our students.
From all of us at the school: thank you for being such a generous and engaged community.
Here’s to many more pages turned and stories discovered together!
