Last Friday, Evatt Primary School received two major awards at the Chief Minister’s Reading Challenge Awards Ceremony, held at the National Library of Australia. Phoebe and Serah, along with Mrs Bultitude, proudly represented Evatt PS at the event. Tamara also represented our school as part of the IMP Choir, which performed beautifully during the ceremony.
Congratulations to all our students who participated in this year’s challenge, we are very proud of your efforts and achievements!
Congratulations to our Year 5/6 students who represented Evatt Primary School at the Readers Cup today. Our school entered two teams who were required to read six novels in just five weeks to prepare for the event.
With over 40 teams competing from schools across Canberra, our students did a fantastic job answering questions about the novels. A big thank you to Mrs Bultitude for supporting and accompanying our students at the event.
Thank you to our amazing P&C for running a super fun Halloween Disco last Thursday night! We had a great turnout, with students looking fantastic in their costumes. It was also great to see so many parents and carers grooving along up the back.
Thank you, P&C, for another wonderful school event!
A huge thank you to our incredible teachers and staff for everything you do each day for our students. Your care, dedication, and commitment make Evatt PS a wonderful place to learn and grow.
Thank you, Evatt community, for helping us celebrate World Teachers’ Day!
A reminder about the importance of having your child at school in time for morning lines each day. This is when we share important messages about the day and what’s coming up later in the week.
Straight after lines, students head into their classrooms and begin learning straight away with their teacher. Remember, if your child is just 15 minutes late each day, that adds up to more than 8 days of missed learning over the course of a year!
Our wonderful Evatt teachers will soon begin preparing class groupings for 2026. If you would like to share any information to be considered regarding your child’s class placement, please email your request to michael.hatswell@ed.act.edu.au
Dear Parents and Carers,
Overdue library notices have been handed out this week. We kindly ask you to check carefully at home for any listed books and return them to the library as soon as possible.
If you believe a book has already been returned or is lost, please highlight the title on the notice slip and return it to Mrs Bultitude in the library. If you're unable to locate a book, please double-check before notifying Mrs Bultitude.
Thank you for your support in keeping our library collection complete and accessible for all students!
Messages for the Evatt School P&C can be sent to evattpspc@gmail.com.
Messages for the Evatt School Board can be sent to info@evattps.act.edu.au.
