Week Ten
P&C Special Lunch Order (Details TBA) - Fri. 5 July
P&C Bunnings Sausage Sizzle- Sat. 6 July
Term 3:
Week One
Student Free Day- Mon. 22 July
Thank you to all our families who braved the cold last Friday morning to attend our Reconciliation Week breakfast. It was a lovely event where our students and families enjoyed some wattle seed pancakes and lemon myrtle tea. To accompany this, Deb, our teacher librarian, had a range of indigenous inspired books for our families to read while enjoying their breakfast.
As we draw closer to the end of Semester 1, we will be conducting our parent/teacher discussions during weeks 8 and 9. Hopefully you have already booked a time with your child's teacher through the link we sent out on Seesaw. This is an important time where we discuss the progress of your child and look forward to focus areas for Semester 2. Semester 1 reports will be emailed out on Friday 5 July and will also be available in Parent Portal.
As part of Family Connect, we are two weeks into our Lego Masters program that runs on Thursdays after school.
We have around 20 families registered who have been having a great time building Lego masterpieces each week. Keep an eye out for the great Family Connect programs planned for Term 3!
We have seen a high number of students presenting at school with flu and gastro like symptoms. It is that time of the year where we are seeing a spike in children and staff being sick and we kindly ask that you work with the school in the best interests of everyone's health. If your child is sick please keep them at home. If we contact you during the day because your child is unwell please support us in coming and picking your child up and taking them to a GP if needed.
We absolutely want what you want, healthy kids learning at school. Sending sick kids to school is not good for anyone. Let's work together to keep our school as healthy as possible.
Keep an eye out for our information about our P&C Special Lunch order day which will happen on the last Friday of this term.
Our P&C have also secured a Bunnings Sausage Sizzle Fundraiser and we would love as many parents to help out as possible. Information about this is in this newsletter.
Parent Portal is now available. It is a secure online platform used to share student information between you and your child’s teachers.
Some reminders about Parent Portal:
If you already have a Parent Portal account, use this Parent Portal access link to start using the great features.
The website can only be viewed using a web browser on your computer, mobile phone or tablet. An app is not available at this time.
If you still need to register, you will need an access key and a Parent Portal registration link via email to link your existing account to your child’s records. If you haven’t received this, please contact the school’s front office team for assistance.
