Week 10:
K-6 Floriade Excursion - Mon. 22 September
Year 5 combined Band - Tue. 23 September
Multi-Sport friendship cup - Thu. 25 September
This morning our beloved Evatt Primary mascots stormed into Friday assembly decked out in their Raiders colours, bringing a burst of energy and excitement! They had the whole school community echoing with a booming Viking clap, getting everyone pumped for the big game tomorrow night. Watch the video here!
The fun didn’t stop there, our mascots also stuck around to help hand out this week’s Flying High awards.
What a fun way to kick off our Friday. GO THE RAIDERS!
We are very excited about our upcoming whole school excursion to Floriade on Monday. A big thank you to our P&C for funding this wonderful opportunity for our students.
To help make the day a success, please note the following:
Students should bring a packed lunch, drink bottle, and hat.
Please apply sunscreen before coming to school. Sunscreen will also be available for students on the day.
Students will not need any money. There will be no opportunity to buy items. We also ask that if parents are attending Floriade, please do not purchase food or gifts for your child during the excursion.
We kindly ask parents onsite to allow children to enjoy the visit with their class, unless prior arrangements have been made with the school.
Parents/carers who wish to take their child home directly from Floriade must sign them out with their child’s teacher before leaving.
Please do not take whole-class or group photos of students if you are onsite.
Thank you for your support in ensuring this is a safe and enjoyable whole school excursion for everyone.

Our students were fortunate to be invited to the Instrumental Music Program Percussion Ensemble performance yesterday afternoon. The ensemble was made up of students from Years 7–12 across a variety of ACT public schools and performed a range of pieces for our students.
A number of our students were even invited to join in, which made the experience extra special.
A big thank you to the IMP for coming to perform for us, we hope to see some Evatt PS students in this ensemble one day!
If your child/children will not be returning to Evatt Primary School next year, please let us know. This information is very helpful for our planning for 2026. (Of course, Year 6 students moving on to high school are excluded.)
Early next term we’ll share details about how parents can submit requests for 2026 class placements.
To notify us, please email info@evattps.act.edu.au.
This will be the last newsletter for the term before the school holidays. We are excited for a great last week of term three next week, and then we will head into school holidays. Have a safe and enjoyable break. A reminder term four starts on Tuesday 14 October.
