Yusuke Nakano is the artist who made the artwork for most of The Legend of Zelda series. He has been working for Nintendo since Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time and other games.Nakano noticed that the art used in these games were not only the art that he loved but that he specializes in it as well. After that he was urged to get a job at Nintendo. Nakano has been influenced by many artists, when he was young he was into Japanese animations and comics. Later in his life he developed an interest in American comics and fantasy art. His favorite artists include Ashley Wood, Phil Hale and American comic artists such as Richard Corben and Frank Frazetta. He is without a doubt one of Nintendo's primary artists.
Yusuke Nakano first started working on video game illustration with Wario Land aswell as being a packaging designer. Later on he went on to work on SUper Metroids printed art. He also worked on a bunch of N64 games including Super Mario64, Mario Kart 64 and other games. He would create cg artwork, though also for games such as The Legend of Zelda Ocarina of Time, which features traditional hand drawn pieces. He got the Ocarina of Time job after hearing about the game and creating a couple concepts for the game's directors. They loved the drawings he drew, and chose him to draw the artwork for Link and various others. His favorite to draw was Impa and Ganondorf. After Ocarina of Time, he worked on other Zelda titles as well, including The Legend of Zelda Majora's Mask, The Wind Waker, and Twilight Princess. Twilight Princess was the first game that Nakano was involved with from the beginning of development. Nakano claims that this game was the one that he enjoyed working on the most since he got to do the kind of art that he liked best.
